Walter R. Munyan | Walter R. Munyan was born January 30, 1873 in New Jersey. He joined the US Army for the Spanish American War. He was assigned to Co. H, 4th New Jersey Infantry. He earned the NJ Volunteer Medal. He married Lilliam M. Wright Rodman, her 2nd marriage and helped raise two stepchildren. He was living on Heulings Ave in Riverside in 1930, but soon moved to 736 Chestnut Street in Delanco, where he lived for the remainder of his life, Walter was a carpenter/contractor by trade. He was active with the Daniel M. Perkins Camp No. 50 of the Spanish American Veterans of Beverly, serving for a time as Commander. Walter died May 6, 1946 at his home in Delanco at age 73. He is buried in Beverly National Cemetery. Lillian died November 17, 1947 in Philadelphia at age 71.
